At the October HOA meeting there were a few questions about colors of paint and stain that have been used (or should not have been used) on doors, shutters, and fences. Key points:

• Consult the architectural guidelines on what colors to use.
• Use the Architectural Modification Request form, sometimes called the ARC form, to request exceptions.
• Use a protectant -- a colorless stain -- on your fence to keep it looking natural and slow down its aging. Your fence should get no paint and no colored stain. We have details for you here.
